Sirsa in news again for yet another citizen-friendly e-governance project

In its constant endeavour to provide the maximum benefits of Information Technology to its citizens, district administration of Sirsa, under the able leadership of D.Suresh, DC Sirsa, has added another feather to its cap. Sirsa enjoys the status of having successfully implemented many IT projects in its district and was also a nominee of Stockholm Challenge Award, 2002. In the recent past it has partnered with a Delhi-based IT solutions company, Cyber Infodev Pvt. Ltd. to provide various e-governance services like Driving License, registration of vehicles, Certificates, etc. through a centre, strategically located in the heart of the city. This e-governance centre called the 'e-Prashasan Kendra' shall be a central point where the citizens can apply for the above-mentioned services, submit the required documents and collect the license or certificate within a period of three days. Ancillary services like photographs, medical examination, driving test, vehicle inspection, etc. shall also be provided at the same place. The applicant has to pay a nominal fees for the services to Cyber Infodev's representatives apart from the government charges. 50% of the profit earned shall be given to the Red Cross Society of India, thus giving a human dimension to this societal project. The applicant also has an option of approaching the local ICT centres set up by Drishtee, an organization providing e-governance services for over 4 years in Sirsa, directly. He shall not be charged anything extra for the service though he shall have to visit the e-Prashasan Kendra atleast once for signatures, photographs, medical examination, etc.

Coming days for Bilaspur won't be same as earlier. No more running behind the brokers & government officials for License & Certificates. This dream come true was possible by the joint efforts of DC ,Bilaspur & "Cyber Info Dev Pvt. Ltd.' a Delhi- based Company by launching 'Single Window System' of the e-Prashasaan , through which all the government services would be at your door step.
Introducing the project, District Collector, Mr. Vikas Sheel said that this 'Single Window System' will save the time & efforts of citizens of Bilaspur ,as they will be submitting the application & availing the required service from the same place & shortest possible time. Various services would be provided through 'Single Window System' launched by Delhi based "Cyber Info Dev Pvt. Ltd." at Vikas Bhavan in front of Nehru Chauk. The company will be responsible for all the software, hardware & man power requirements. They will be charging a very nominal amount for all the services to the citizens.
Receipts of the application will have the information regarding the time taken. District Administration has decided to soon implement the same project at Kabeerdham, Raigarh, Ambikapur & Korba. Tomorrow the agreement for the same would be signed by SDM, Mr. Ashok Tiwari. Cast/Domicile Certificate , Affidavits, Registration of vehicles, Driving License , Application of various license like hotel, Gun etc. are the list of services which would be provided by this system from 15 August , 2004.
