We are a fast growing company providing a range of IT solutions to
public, private and development organizations. It is symbolic of its
name that suggests a combination of Internet/ Technology (Cyber) and
Information Development (InfoDev). We have been associated with Internet
right from the time of its inception in India. We also enjoy the status
of bringing Internet and IT revolution to Central India.
BACKGROUND
On 8th March 1998 the foundation stone for Cyber Edge was laid in Bhopal,
Madhya Pradesh. This was the era of IT boom and thus, it provided IT
training to tomorrow's computer whiz kids. It was also the first cyber
café in Bhopal. Gradually, it moved into website designing and
later pioneered web technologies like ASP.NET, ASP, JSP, Java Servlet.
Many interactive portals were developed. Some of them are: www.iitian.com,
Pangaram, Virtual Puja.
From 1999 to 2000 Cyber Edge ventured into the area of E-Governance.
This concept was in its nascent stages at that time in India. It required
courage to venture into this area keeping in mind the hurdles that have
that have to be crossed to reach the government officials with a view
to changing their age-old system. It was during this period that Cyber
Edge was re-christened to Cyber Infodev Pvt Ltd.
The first project that was undertaken in the e-governance sector was
Gyandoot. On 26th February 2000 we signed an agreement with the district
administration of Dhar, Madhya Pradesh for developing a low-cost, self-sustainable
and community owned rural Intranet project called 'Gyandoot'. It is
based on the Government-to-Citizen model and Citizen-to-Government model.
Cyber Infodev Pvt. Ltd was responsible for the development, and maintenance
of the software, its website and the network on a revenue sharing basis.
This project was quite successful and is still running successfully
in Dhar.
Gyandoot's success gave the impetus to Cyber Infodev Pvt Ltd to dive
deeper into the ocean of e-governance. It developed many applications
for the management of information at various levels of the government.
It developed applications for the Government-to-Government mode. These
applications provided the link between government departments at various
levels and also between the same levels. It also developed Management
Information System (MIS) software for them that took care of the external
and internal administration. For example, a MIS software was developed
for two departments of Madhya Pradesh Forest namely, Protection and
Development. A web interface was also developed for the Police department
of Chhattisgarh that provided the facility of online FIR, complaints,
etc. Cyber Infodev Pvt. Ltd. was responsible for the development and
training aspects of the interface.
Cyber Infodev Pvt. Ltd. has come a long way from IT training and Cyber
Café to website development to E-Governance projects to what
it is today. Its core competence now lies in software development and
web based applications. Backed by a varied experience and satisfied
clientele, Cyber Infodev Pvt. Ltd. has carved a niche for itself in
the software development market. Even though we have a stiff competition
in the market, this gives us all the more reasons to better our performance
with each passing day. One this is definite that Cyber Infodev Pvt.
Ltd. is here to stay.
